Looks like you are having a great time. Don't let nostalgia overcome your visit to Kitwe. Having seen some recent photographs of the town it is certainly not what I remember it to be - especially to see St. Michaels surrounded by a dirty great wall!!!!! Ugh.

Thanks for the explanation on how to comment. I needed it. Had tried umpteen times without success. Thanks for all the great updates and photos. Loved the pics of the spice farm. Word to the wise: You are not allowed to bring plant products into RSA. Friend who went to spice farm and brought her woven, leafy things in her hand luggage had them all confiscated by customs. But if in packed bag, probably won't be a problem. Michelle Naude
